I had the pleasure of working with the fantastic events team at the Passage House Hotel for a large, corporate booking last month where we used the entire hotel, bedrooms and apartments including all the conference spaces for multiple nights.
Paul, the GM, and his team including Chris, Cody, Louise, Briana, Freya and everyone else were brilliant and understood what we needed and adapted promptly and effectively when we needed to make changes. Wish I could remember all the staff names as they really are a credit to the hotel!
Whilst the hotel is not the most modern in places, it was beautifully clean and comfortable, has ample free parking and is in a lovely location.

We stayed in room 525 for 3 nights. The apartment was enormous and clean, with a very well equipped kitchen. The view over the estuary was fantastic and this apartment would be ideal in the summer. The staff at the bar were lovely and helpful. We made full use of the leisure facilities and our son loved the pool. We will be back again.

Stayed in a one bed apartment within the hotel itself. A little dated but very quiet, clean and comfortable. Was great to have the opportunity to be self catering within a hotel - very unusual in the UK. Hotel situated between a railway line and the River Teign but the railway didn't disturb at all, and the sunrise over the river was spectacular.
I was here for work but didn't really sample the food so cannot comment on this but the staff were super helpful, polite, and friendly.
If you can get past the fact it is dated, I'd recommend a stay here.

Stayed for a couple of nights last weekend. We have stayed before a few times, so were fully aware the rooms would be a little tired and dated before booking. Cristoph running the bar was a delight to deal with. And the other staff members were friendly and helpful. Ideally we'd want rooms with Aircon in the future (fans not enough) but that's going to be expensive and tricky for the Hotel to retro-fit. Maybe do a few rooms to start with and ask guests to pay a small premium to get rooms with A/C?

Sorry, I know this isn't the best star but realistically for what I paid this hotel did not perform. My room and building I was in (the North Lodge) felt like a conference center with no soul at all, no pictures on the walls, no lamps (only super bright main lights), office blinds, cheap instant coffee. You could feel the springs in the bed and the bedding didn't fit properly. Went to use the pool area and it was pretty tired and the Sauna was broken. Location is cute near the estuary but realistically it's a taxi away from town. I've stayed in much nicer hotels for less than half the price and won't be coming again. Plus side though, staff were super lovely on check in and check out, credit to them.
