    We bought a Volvo V70 from Seymour Horwell last week and it has been great. Tim looked after us from the start, no pressure but all the information you want when needed. The car was wonderfully prepared, they made a s/h car look like new. All the staff, on the phone and in person were pleasant and helpful. Indeed the whole experience has exceeded our expectations. So nice to find a garage with such high standards of customer care. We came across several poor and second rate garages while searching for this car, so it was well worth travelling the extra 150 miles for this one. Thank You!

    Excellent service from start to finish, I would highly recommend and will now only be buying my cars from Seymour Horwell! I am so pleased I purchased my car from them. The entire process was easy, from initial purchase (even though I live quite far away) through to aftercare. I had to use the warranty after purchase, and I was amazed at how easy that process was. Pete the After Sales Manager is brilliant, he looked after the whole process for me and stayed in constant communication, I never had to chase. I fully expected dealing with a warranty to be a nightmare, but it could not have been easier. Everything was resolved with minimal fuss and minimal effort on my part, Pete and his team went out of their way to make the process as easy as possible and they were a pleasure to deal with. I recommend Seymour Horwell to all my friends, and tell everyone about the excellent client service I received, when its time to change my car, I'll only be going back to them.

    I recently had the pleasure of working with Seymour Horwell in Kingsteignton, and I couldn't be happier with the service provided. My son's car needed quite a bit of attention, and the team at Seymour horwell went above and beyond our expectations. They identified and replaced a faulty camera belt, installed two new front tires, and even provided a new water pump free of charge. The level of professionalism, expertise, and kindness shown by everyone at Seymour horwell was truly exceptional. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. It's rare to find a service center that genuinely cares about its clients and ensures that the work is done right the first time. We are incredibly grateful for their thorough and attentive service and will definitely be returning for any future automotive needs.     Bought a Volvo from here knowing they have been there a long time and felt would be well looked after. Clive dealt with us and was really nice and not at all pushy and we put down a deposit. Within 5 mins of collecting the car problems started with a tyre pressure warning light and then the remote key not working even though car was supposed to have been tested thoroughly before collection. Clive changed key battery and recalibrated the tyres and said all were ok now. All first week the tyre pressure light kept coming on. Then we were informed by a friend that the rear indicator wasn’t working and then got a low coolant level warning light and the key remote battery level low again. The car went back to garage and they replaced key battery again, rewired indicator and brake light and replaced a seal for the coolant and reassured us all was fine now. 3 days later coolant level low again and key not working again. Started to get rather fed up. They took the car back in and gave us a courtesy car knowing we were going away as a family to Cornwall. The courtesy car had a low battery warning, didn’t lock and had an engine management light on- not what you want to be taking on holiday. Our car was ready and they decided coolant loss was an airlock and replaced key too. On way to Cornwall again coolant level low so had to top it up and on way back too. Contacted garage to say car not fit for purpose and wanted a refund. Clive had to speak to owner who reluctantly agreed to take it back but wanted deduction for mileage done in it even though faulty from day 1 at 50 pence per mile and was told that is less than hiring a car for 2 months!! If a car is faulty within 30 days, a full refund is entitled with no deductions allowed for mileage or wear and tear. We expressed our dissatisfaction to Clive who said the owner won’t move on his decision. We took the car back, the owner was in his office with the door open and was visible and knew of our problems but didn’t come to speak to us or even acknowledge us despite all the problems and hassle and inconvenience we had been through. We reluctantly accepted the refund minus £500, basically being penalised for giving them 3 chances to repair the car. Clearly the owner of the garage had no interest in their reputation or customer care whatsoever and is only interested in his wallet. Very very poor customer care and experience that we had and couldn’t advise anyone use them. We appreciate used cars can develop faults but when a problem from day one and ongoing and still not sorted after 3 returns then I think a full refund is deserved and expected. We have had 2 months of inconvenience and hassle with the car never mind comparing it to the cost of a hire car. The reselling price of the car after further repair work would not be lower by going from 86000 miles to 87000 miles so really unfair on usand against our rights. Do not use this garage as if you get a problem you will have a fight on your hands. Clive was very pleasant throughout but the owner very ignorant and rude. Why not come out and apologise for our experiences and look after his reputation! In response to the owner’s comments we had our previous car for 2 years and was not returned to any dealer. Everything stated is accurate by me and maybe it is only when problems occur that you really get to see what a dealership is like. Returning the car 3 times and still having the same problem I think was more than reasonable in our behalf and doesn’t deserve the treatment we got.
