Ate here earlier with my boss (He's Indian & wasn't impressed at all)Where do I start -
We ordered the buffett £17.99 & Beers £5ish, reasonable enough price wise. The issue was in the quality.Beers were flat, please check your C02!Everything tasted Sugary, The Lamb Fowl we had too, had 4 pieces of lamb and 1 Potato. (Trust me, We counted)Sure it was spicy enough but the Lamb was dry, almost like it was completely cooked and added to the sauce separately. The service was friendly enough, Nothing to scream about but met expectation. The place was clean, Staff well groomed & People mostly enjoying themselves.Just a little bit of a let down on the overall quality of food.

Good food, lots of options in alacarte as well as buffet. But the staff is even more impressive, provided great service with a smile. Will definitely visit soon.

As we are not local, we took the recommendation of a friend to visit, and we were not disappointed. We didn't book in advance, but we were seated straight away.
A fantastic choice of dishes on the menu, wonderful service and when the food arrived, everything tasted amazing! Portion sizes were generous, and the flavours were sublime!
Highly recommend. Thank you so much!

Eastern Eye serves Indian food. It's quite a large premises so can easily accommodate large groups. It is located close to Newton Abbot Town Centre. There is on street parking outside but the restaurant does not have its own car parking. The meal itself was ok. It wasn't anything to rave about. We did try picking meal's that we hadn't had before... But unfortunately the dishes were quite bland. Lacking depth of flavour.. we accompanied our food with some really nice sounding side dishes but unfortunately everything, kind of, tasted the same... I have to say we were given a complimentary side dish free of charge which was nice and I guess if your catering to the masses you might have to tone back some of the distinguishing flavours. But personally I didn't find the food exciting enough. The waiters changed three times during the meal and I can't say any gave outstanding service. Nothing to leave a tip for. We did ask about a dish being vegetarian and the response was 'they thought the dish may contain raisins!?'

Large restaurant and was very busy on the Thursday evening that we went. We had booked at the same time as a tribute act which added to the overall atmosphere, but luckily we had finished eating as it did make it harder to have a conversation due to the noise! Staff were attentive and provided a complimentary taster dish with the meal, palette cleansers and an after dinner drink. We tried dishes off the special menu and both tasted great.
