I stopped here 15 miles into a 17-mile walking day. What a treat. The cream tea was perfect — two very good scones and generous servings of jam and cream. And the staff were friendly.

Great place to grab Brunch or lunch and a walk. Plenty of tables outside as well as inside. Good system setup to order then collect when ready via buzzer.I had a pulled Chicken Banh Mi. Was delicious with some coleslaw & a few Crisps.Salads were delicious too.Recommend if passing.

Lovely cafe with fast service and good food and drinks including excellent coffee. But what prompted me to write a review was the superb manager whose name I now wish I'd asked. Calm and unflustered despite a busy lunch rush. He was so friendly and nice to me when I realised I'd booked for the wrong day. And so accommodating and welcoming of our children and dog. Feel very lucky to have this place on our doorstep.

Difficult to find anything savoury on the menu that didn't have any spicy ingredients or sauce. Asked if I could have a pulled pork baguette without anything spicy but was told that the pork was in hoisin sauce. Ended up choosing 2 cheese scones but when they arrived I found that they contained more herb than cheese - why couldn't the menu say cheese and herb?
Looking at the menu later I noticed something (presumably) without anything spicy added - children's half baguette with cheese or pulled ham. Wish I'd spotted that earlier.
Won't be visiting again, the £3 (minimum) parking charge was a bad start - cheaper to go into Bovey, pay for an hour's parking and visit one of the town's cafés for some plain British food.

I had a lovely baguette, my son had excellent pasta but most importantly my wife (celiac) had an amazing gluten free baked eggs with mushrooms which came with the best GF bread she as ever had. Happy wife happy life. Highly recommend this cafe
