This used to be a favourite haunt but have witnessed it go steadily downhill over the years. Our final outing last night will be the last. Waiter was disinterested and took over 30 minutes to finally take our order after faffing with receipts at the desk. Another hour for the food to arrive. The food was brought over by the manager who had let the food sit on a shelf round the corner for a good 10 minutes and upon finally bringing it over had his thumb in my Sag Paneer! Now the food... Not just watery and tasteless but slimy and inedible. Nothing was tasty, not even the Peshwari nan. Even the rice was suspect. No one asked whether the food was ok, I don't even think anyone even smiled throught the 1hr 45mins we were there. The manager could be heard screaming at the kitchen boys in the back. A terrible experience from start to finish. Ruined the evening. Having given this restaurant the benefit of the the doubt on a couple of occasions... Now it's never again!

Best Nepalese / Indian around! Very good menu, full of flavour, good value and great service. I’d recommend anything from the Gurkha speciality menu. Arjun and his family are an asset to Bovey Tracey and I will continue to buy from them on a regular basis

Very disappointing take away.
Food took two hours to arrive.
All very overpriced/small portions, all dishes seem only 2/3 or 1/2 full.
Some breads badly undercooked, almost raw.
Taste was bad all round, other than the momos.
We couldn’t believe we had £70s worth of food in front of us from a take away.
Not going to order from here again

OMG, I ordered a lamb Rogan gohst, chicken balti, pilau rice and alloo ghobi. The food was awful, no flavour at all looked and tasted like soup. The aloo ghobi was all mushy. The service was awful and waited for one hour for the main courses.

OMG what's has happened at the Royal Gurkha.
We have had some good meals here in the past but last night's takeaway was terrible it was very a watery curry very hot spices but no flavour .
The nan bread and the mushroom rice were good but the curry's were terrible.
